A collection of images from the bundi trp
Every now and then you stumble across one of natures wonderful experiences. We had to stay up very late at night, there were many hour long delays, and in the end the kids were crying. We were at Mon Repos in late January, Bundaberg Queensland. That means TURTLES!!!! We were so lucky to see baby turtles hatching and cruising down the beach. The crying came from Erin, tears of joy about how cute they were. I was amazed at how strong there little flippers are. I highly recommend going for a look. We stayed at the local Girl Guides Huts and Mon Repos Beach was a short walk from there.

Bundaberg has an AMAZING cycling path that follows the coast line from the beach to a really cool lighthouse at Burnett Heads. Being a dedicated Bike/Walking path, it is totally safe, great for kids of any age and connects different parts of Bundi. We traveled on it over a couple of days. North to the light house brought us to a patrolled beach approximation half way along the ride. South led us to a developed area with icecream, units, shops and a rock edged salt water pool, filled with fish. Take your snorkeling gear, the fish are quite friendly.

Bike in the foreground, Rock pool to the rear right.
- Great walkways to the beach.
- What a wonderful day. This beach is where the turtles will lay tonight
- Love this little sign. It points you to the direction of the turtles.
- The shaded and well made cycle path will continue up and down the coast.
- Path follows the coast line
- Just WOW. Kady is loving it.

So, Les. you didn’t actually try jumping your bike and parked it in a tree? I’m guessing it is part of the “weird art” you saw.
Getting more envious with every post I read. Pity I’m such an old stodger.

I’ve been checking out your photos. They’re wonderful. We enjoy seeing your adventures. You’re so lucky to have witnessed the turtles hatching. What a nice experience for the girls. I hope to see that here some day. Have fun.
