- Leaving Toorbul.
- Rosco TK1 Kayak pointed towards Bribie.
- Camping ground at Bribie
- Great bush camping. Sites are made well with BBQs for each one
- To the North, you can see the Glass House Mountains
Early morning paddles have become a part of my waking up routine. Oh yes, I don’t get breakfast until after the 4k paddle. It’s only 20 min return but I feel really alive afterwards. Today was another magnificent day, the current was really tearing through the passage. This is great, for it gives me a little more resistance, a little more workout. After Christmas, boy do I need a workout
.
The canoe I’m paddling is a Rosco TK1 (Touring kayak for one person) made from fibreglass, it is so nice to paddle. On my return, the wind increased a little, and some small waves were formed. The TK1 cut through these easily giving me a very comfortable ride home.
Often on the passage you can be lucky enough to see Dugong, Turtle, Porpoise, and Mullet jumping, but you will always see Blue Blubber Jelly Fish.
